
Finance Officer
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, payroll, and record-keeping.
- Prepare and maintain budgets, financial reports, and documentation for audits.
- Ensure compliance with donor regulations, organizational policies, and statutory requirements.
- Track project expenditures against budgets and provide financial insights to guide decision-making.
- Support program and procurement teams with cost-effective financial planning.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
- Provide financial insights to program and procurement teams to guide cost-effective decisions.
- Track expenditures against budgets and flag risks of overspending or under-utilization.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and relevant financial authorities as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in NGO financial management or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations, donor compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Strong skills in bookkeeping, budget tracking, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- High level of integrity, transparency, and attention to detail.
